BIO: Tyler Oliphant is an up-and-coming force in the national scene. With plenty of experience and many concert and stage credits to his name he is poised to become a highly sought after performer. Opera News praised him "for his comic finesse" in his role of The Sergeant of Police in Indianapolis Opera's The Pirates of Penzance and Italian critics loved his "rich, nuanced voice" and "perfect Italian" when he performed the title role in Falstaff in Novafeltria. Tyler is a favorite in his hometown of Salt Lake City where the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune have regularly applauded his "rich, expressive baritone" and "lyricism" in concerts with the Salt Lake Choral Artists, Cathedral of the Madeleine, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and others. He premiered Mack Wilberg's Requiem with the Tabernacle Choir and has twice been featured in their weekly international broadcast Music and the Spoken Word.
On stage, Tyler has performed the roles of Falstaff and Ford in Falstaff, Marcello in La Boheme, Scarpia in Tosca, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Escamillo in Carmen, Malatesta in Don Pasquale, Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Sulpice in The Daughter of the Regiment. He has been seen with Utah Opera, Intermountain Opera Bozeman, Lyrical Opera Productions, Opera San Luis Obispo, Portland's Third Angle Opera, Opera Idaho, Michigan Opera Theatre, and Ohio Light Opera.
